In principle, the Regulation (EU) no 2015/848 of the European Parliament and of the Council (hereinafter referred to as “I.R.”) on insolvency proceedings ranks as highly significant among the European Union legal acts concerning the cross-border insolvency proceedings. So far, under EU law, the issue of cross-border insolvency proceedings has been considered as relatively well regulated by the Council Regulation (EC) no 1346/2000. However, several problems which came to light under the regulation in force until 27 June 2017 have created a need to adapt the law to current priorities and the development of entrepreneurship1. In particular, what comes as a novelty in relation to Regulation (EC) no 1346/2000 is that Regulation (EU) no 2015/848 stipulates the rules of cooperation and communication between authorities conducting insolvency proceedings of members of groups of companies in different Member States and the rules of coordination of these proceedings in a more advanced procedure such as the group
